Water Resources Modeling, LLC was founded in 2004 specializing in providing implementable solutions to Water Resources problems. Water Resources Modeling is classified as an Emerging Small Business under the NAICS Code 541330—Engineering Services by the Small Business Administration. Water Resources Modeling, LLC provides basic and advanced technical training on xpswmm (both 1D and 2D) and provides modeling services throughout North America. The only employee of Water Resources Modeling is Robert (Bob) Carr who is a licensed professional engineer (P.E.) in Wisconsin and Illinois.
Mr. Carr was involved in the development, analysis and design of a $70 million Runoff Control Project for the Village of Skokie. Rather than implementing expensive solutions such as the separation of the system into storm and sanitary components or the construction of large- diameter relief sewers or tunnels, a carefully engineered system of micro-detention facilities limits the rate of stormwater runoff allowed into a combined system to the maximum hydraulic capacity of the combined sewers, thereby significantly reducing basement flooding at a realistic cost.
He also serves his profession by being active in both the Urban Water Resources Research Council where he serves as vice chair of the Wet Weather Flow Technologies committee and the American Public Works Association. In addition, he is active in the community where he is member of the board of directors of the St. Francis Civil Association.
